Classic western adventure series. The Cannon family runs the High Chaparral Ranch in the Arizona Territory. Big John wants to establish his cattle empire despite Indian hostility. He's aided by brother Buck and son Billy Blue.

To this day it brings tears to our eyes and sets our hearts a flutter just to listen to the music theme. Such a Beautiful and Fabulous Show ever. I was only 7 when I first watched it and 50+ years later still hooked on it. It's a Memorable show that will live in our hearts forever.
10 Sean from Banbury: This and The Virginian form a huge part of my childhood. Wonderful , Happy memories. Even now when I hear the HC theme it gives me goosebumps. Does anyone know where I can get DVD's of either of these shows which are compatible with UK viewing??

8 steven dwyer from co.waterford rep of ireland: when i was about 10or11 the high chaparral was on a sunday afternoon. it was the highlight of my week just to see the fabalous western series. even watching it today 24 years later it still gives me goose bumbs. it is the high light of my childhood.my hero is henry darrow as cool as they come.A great western series.the location old tucson was just perfect. my brother was out in old tucson a couple of years ago and stood at the front door of the high chapperal ranch set and saw old tucson to.

Great actors, great writers.
After 30 years I can still remember entire scenes from certain episodes.
Hope some channel will consider broadcasting it again.
