Remington Steele Classic TV Show |
Laura Holt is one of the finest private investigators around, but she's convinced that her gender scares off prospective clients. To attract customers who believe that only a man can achieve top results, Laura invents a mythical male "boss" and names him Remington Steele. Her ruse is successful and Laura's business flourishes as she resourcefully manages to justify Steele's constant unavailability, until the day her creation shows up in the flesh. Will be showing re-runs on Sky Channel "Zone Thriller" in January 2008 so I'm told.9 EILEEN O'CONNOR from MINNESOTA: I absolutely loved the show. When is it coming back on TV again? 8 Rodell Banks from California: Man do I like the way her Father of '77 Sunset Strip' name flows. Efren Zimbalist, Jr. Forgive me Stephanie for loving the Episode where he appears. You are the Stephanie Powers of your time. Another great episode was Pierce Brosnon boxing. I'm glad he was able to settle down and stop running at the end of the shows run. 7 Matt from Barnstaple: My fav moment from Remington Steele is in 'steele away with me part 2' when Remington runs from the police. 6 Martin Silsby from Hatfield: Did you know... Pierce Brosnan was spotted as Remington Steele and put forward as a possible James Bond! This is not correct. He was stopped becoming James Bond due to the contract with MTM. He was spotted long before he made this program, when his first wife was a bond girl. But it great to see this back on TV and they are all just fun to watch 5 Paul Gray from Dartford, Kent: It is great that Remington Steele is back on TV. I firsted started watching it years ago on a another channel. I thought it was great & have waited ages for it to be screened again. My favourite episodes are Thou Shalt Not Steele, Sting Of Steele & Steele Away With Me. I also like the episodes where Steele does a runner to England & Laura follows him. 4 Gemma from Manchester: I can't believe that it's back on the air! my family used to watch Remington every week in the 80's and we even managed to record some of them. but they were on betamax which of course are now extinct! so am thrilled to be able to record them all on VHS! have so many favourite moments, can't name them all but have a real soft spot for when Laura's home blows up and the final scene is very film noir with Chopin accompaniment. 3 Sally Jones from Norfolk: After becoming such a big Pierce Brosnan Fan. This is the only Pierce Brosnan stuff i haven't and i must say it's great no wonder he is James Bond 2 Chayna from Romsey, UK: I too love Remington Steele. We only got 2 Seasons back on BBC in the 80s, and I wasn't on cable when another station played all of it in 1997. I'm loving seeing it again. One of my fave bits is Laura and Bernice's chat about RS in Tempered Steele, when Laura says it leaves her feeling 'Itchy'. I have lots of other fave bits - including the scene with the kiss in the cellar in Vintage Steele. 1 pam montelauro from wyandotte, MI: I love Remington Steele! It was the greatest, had some of the funniest lines and it is missed very much! One of my favorite scene was when Laura's sister came to town and Mildred tells Laura she is on the phone (again) and Remington has that look on his face when he says "Laura"... for her to talk to her sister as she hands the phone to him. It was in Suburban Steele. |
