Peak Practice Fan Tributes38 Hazel from Cumbernauld, Scotland: I really miss Peak Practice, especially all the scenes with Gray O'Brien, he is so dishy.
37 G. M. Calhoun from USA: Hello, Peak Practice fans!
Please allow me to introduce myself: I'm G. M. Calhoun, a playwright. I'm honored to announce to your web visitors that Adrian Lukis has agreed to portray a lead role in my play THE LAST SOUTH: PURSUIT OF THE POLE at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Adrian portrays Robert Falcon Scott in the piece. Actor Jamie Lee (the films COLD MOUNTAIN and SHACKLETON) portrays the other lead, Roald Amundsen. A poster quote describing the play is below:
"This new drama from a multiple FRINGE FIRST winning team sees two invincible explorers engage in one final conquest. A century ago and a world apart, Amundsen and Scott race to discover the South Pole - Earth's last great unknown. Through their revealing and often humourous personal journals, the two rivals transport us to an alien landscape as unimagainably hostile as it is awe-inspiring. In the race of their lives, only one could be first."
The play will have two preview performances 23 & 24 July at London's Etcetera Theatre before playing at the Pleasance Courtyard in Edinburgh from 1-27 August with the 8th and 15th being days off.
36 pamela simpson from winster, near matlock: best series of doctor type stories ever on t.v. what is the matter with the high ups that they finished it, are they mad. bring this back now, and what happened to alice north after the show was axed?
35 Deli from Yorkshire: It is now Nov 2006 & I am still obsessed. The first series with Jack & Beth were classics but my fav actress had to be Saskia Wickham. Why don't ITV release the rest of the series on DVD? (currently only 1&2 are available) Bring it back!
34 Ellie Sutcliffe from St. Austell, Cornwall: Yeah, I liked the Erica- Andrew story line. Although, I was starting to think towards the end that the programme had not only reached its peak, but that it had also fallen down the other side! I think that they were running out of ideas for storylines and they were getting cliched. I wish my GPs had enough time on their hands to give me this level of service! Astounding!... but highly inaccurate!
33 sonia from bounemouth: i really do love watching i think Gary who plays andrew is very good he seems to really love his job i no i would like him to be my doctor p.s i am 21
32 L Balson from Newcastle: My favourite episode was 'Not Waving But Drowning' in the 8th series. Jill Halfpenny was amazing as Kelly and it was such a brilliant episode centered around the effects of depression.
31 Emi from Hertfordshire: I have to agree that the best episodes were those with Haydn Gwynne in. I saw her final episode this morning since it's airing in 2000, and I cried so much! My favourite ever episodes are the one where Martin proposes to her, and also the one when her and Tom do the whole 'love note' thing! Tom and Jo were the best couple! Love Em x x
30 Emma Berg from Melton Mowbray leics: My favourite episodes are the ones that Haydn Gwynne was in Haydn is a great actress I hope she is back on our screen soon.
29 Amanda from Lancashire: hey is it just me or does anyone else love Erica and Andrew? i thought they were brill and i cant belive Saskia left is it just me then
28 jack from liverpool: peak practice was fab, but sw is a million times better, i love amanda, series 8 was the saddest in history tv.!!!!!
27 Hayley from The Peak District!: The best show by far ever put on tv! I had a slight obsession that drove everyone around me crazy, but seeing where I live on TV made the programme all that more worth while! It should be brought back for sure!
26 Victoria from UK: Simon Shepherd is doing theatre at the moment. Mainly in the West Country. Gray O'Brien is on the Scottish soap, River City as Billy. Maggie O'Neill is rumoured to be filming on Channel 4's Shameless. Joseph Millson is expecting his second child due later this year. Eva Pope has just finished filming on ITV1's Bad Girls, in which she plays prision officer Frances Meyer. Amanda Burton is due to film a new series of BBC1's Silent Witness, which will be her last series (Only appearing in three episodes). Gary Mavers has recently being appearing in theatre with Saska Wickham. They finished in the West End earlier this year. So far, that's it! X
25 Lisa Purkiss from Southampton: I don't have a favourite moment, I just loved the whole show! I never missed it, and drove my partner mad!! It is a terrible shame that they have stopped making it, and it's replacement 'Sweet Medicine' is nowhere near as good!
24 Nicholas from Redhill: I found the episode, where Beth had to stay during the night, with a roadside accident victim very moving.
23 CK from Newcastle: I loved Gray O'Brien, if anyone knows what he is up to then let me know! It's a shame its not coming back because it was the best TV show ever!
22 angharad williams from south wales: My favourite moment was when Simon Shepherd walked back in to the series, that was excellent!
21 Jessika from Melbourne: Where is Simon Shepherd? Does anyone know what he is doing in 2004?
20 Gayle from Scotland: PP was never the same after Jack and Beth left... They were the best
19 Suzanne pepper from nottinghamshire: I was born at Scarsdale hospital in Chesterfield but lived in Tibshelf in Derbyshire. I love PP, I think it is great and so close to home. We don't see much of the Derbyshire countryide so it was great that they filmed PP so close to where I lived. It would be great to show Tom and Erica together as the final episode. Why did they take it off? I would sooner watch that than any other drama on TV.
18 cath from australia: What happened in the final episode ever? All I have heard is that it was a cliffhanger and I missed it! Can I please have all the details as I am gutted.
17 Emma Fairbrother from Horsham: OMG! I love PP so much I am so sad it has been axed! It is an amazing show and I wanted to see what would happen to my darling Tom! As that is impossible, I am all for the showing of re-runs, so as I can see my baby again!
16 dude from brum: hi laura, r u trenners missus?
ur pretty hot, isnt he a bit young for you, ive seen his picture on here. by the way peak practice rules!
15 Joan McNeil from Saudi Arabia: I got really hooked on Peak Practice. I have been in Saudi Arabia for a very long time and it was great to see a series set in a village not too far from where I was brought up. I am really sad the programme has been axed and hope the producers think again. Also it is very cruel to see Alex go off a cliff and although the odds are she is dead we have not been able to see the aftermath. Poor Tom, it is like lightning striking in the same place twice. All the actors were excellent and I really liked the new bar manager. Please try to get them to rethink. With the many problems in the world, especially here in the Middle East it was so warming to see a good series set in familiar surroundings.
14 Laura from england: hi i would just like 2 say i waz amazed at the quality of acting of chris trenfield as charlie preston . since that episode i havent been able 2 stop thinkin bout him and i think this could be love please could you pass on my message to chris to tel him my true feelings thank you Laura xXx
13 Sue from Enfield: My favourite episodes are when Andrew Attwood joins the practice. One in particular was where he was involved in a car accident helping someone else by the roadside.
12 Gillian Johnston from Dublin: Watching re runs of Haydn Gwynne's time in Peak Practice shows just what a super actress she is and is sorely missed on our screens.
11 saz from south yorkshire: the last two or three series were amazing. i to confess to being totally obssessed by the Tom & Alex storyline, it was a true classic. i have to say that it is a crime that it has been axed. i think it was not believed to be popular with the young, well i am 16 and a huge fan as are many of my friends. tom and alex could have least have lived happily ever after. i cant believe we'll never know whether or not alex lived.
10 Kelly Doherty from Cannock in staffordshire: I liked the episode where Joanna found out that she was pregnant with Tom's baby.
9 Kate from Watford: Haydn Gwynne is a great actress. She made PP brilliant and has done the same to merseybeat. It was the saddest moment ever when she was shot! Well done Haydn!
8 Victoria from Essex: I was saddened like everyone else at the axing of Peak Practice, and the fact that Alex and Tom didn't get married. After everything they've been through, that was totally bang out of order. I reckon, they should've let sleeping dogs lie. Oh well, that's life.
7 claire from manchester: i thought it was really sad when DR David died, i cried like a baby.
6 Harriet from Hertfordshire: I love Alex and Tom as a couple. I loved it when they got together, although it took ages. When Alex proposed to Tom it was so romantic, and it followed the Peak Practice tradition!
5 Lisa from Sussex: The saddest moment was when Joanna was shot. I didn't know that was going to happen and it was a real shock when she died.
4 Tiffany Pearson from Oxford: When Will and Kate got back together in the last series. A wonderful surprise and done in true Preston style!
3 Meraid Mills from Manchester: My favourite moment is were Jack and Beth start to go out with each other.
2 Nicholas Cox from Redhill Surrey: The moment when the Medical Student, played by Jaye Griffiths, went out with Jack Kerrush, and her Landlady's Holier Than Thou Attitude, at her late return with a Man.
1 Michelle Roberts from Liverpool: I think peak practice is great the people at Cartlon need there heads looking at to axe it in the beginning. Dr Tom is fab looking
