5 Annette Sills from Chorlton Manchester: Mrs Merton is one of my all time favourite comedy characters. It's a close call between Paul and Pauline Calf though. Caroline Ahern is without doubt the finest woman comedy writer of my generation and it's a great loss that the only time we hear from her these days is the Massive ratings winning Royal Family Xmas special. That in itself is proof of comedy genius, writing one show once a year and half the nation watches it.
4 john arnell from driffield: we was watching the other night daniel o donnell was on. and really enjoyed it. and had a good laugh. wish they would show them again on tv
3 sheila from birmingham: my favorite with mrs merton was a tv comedy caroline did as mrs merton and malcom - she was the mom and they used to do the riverdance around the lounge it had me in stitches i wish we could have it repeated back on tv what great comedy oes anyone know which programme i mean .
2 Gem + Mel from Bristol + Manchester: When Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer was on, we couldn't stop laughing "Am I sat too close cos I can hear his heart beating" We think the show is brillaint. And we don't think they are two cabin boys heading for disaster, we think they are lush!!!
1 Linda from Newcastle Upon Tyne: She was "simply the best". I laughed so much when the brilliant LK Lorraine Kelly was on I fell on the floor.
